Kazakhstan & CIS Expertise
Year 1996. Having studied at (to that time and now again) Narxoz. and worked in Kazakhstan, I bring first-hand experience of the region’s business culture and financial systems.
This unique background allows me to bridge Western compliance standards with the realities of operating in Kazakhstan and the wider CIS.
Whether preparing for an exit, managing ongoing risks, or designing a structured re-entry plan, I provide companies with pragmatic solutions rooted in local insight and 30+ years of financial leadership.
28 years and a couple of stations later
I finished my employee-lifecycle in July 2023, being part of the integration team by KCA DEUTAG completing acquisition of the onshore drilling business of Saipem.
But the most valuable and significant part of my career was the establishment and continued growth of Russian onshore business of KCA DEUTAG, where I was in a leading position as finance and administration manager for 20+ years. Being responsible for 1500 employees and a revenue of up to 200m. $ I am very pleased to have been a major part of the KCA DEUTAG success story in Russia.
1st Milestone
MBA in Kazakhtan, Accounting and Audit, Chief Accountant of the Almaty-branch of Olympia Reisen GmbH
2nd Milestone
Moving to Germany, Dahmen KG, Pipeline project in Kysylorda, Kazakhstan, financial and administrative director of the Branch
3rd Milestone
from 2002 till May 2022 enrolling of Russian onshore business of KCA DEUTAG in Siberia. Growth from a single drilling rig operation with ca. 70 man staff up to 19 rigs and over 1.500 employees.
